<- 2012, L.V. Kostina, IEGM, NT2-1. Isolated from: rhizosphere, Sverdlovsk region, Russia. Taxonomy/description: 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG645211). Properties: uses n-hexadecane as a sole carbon source; produces exopolysaccharides at a concentration of 5.6 ± 1.1 mg/L (449); resistant to Cr6+ (40.0 mM), Zn2+ (20.0 mM), Cd2+, Mo6+ (5.0 mM). (Medium 2 or 8, 28oC).
