<- 1980, I.B. Ivshina, IEGM (“Gordonia rubripertincta”), IMV 73 <- O.A. Nesterenko, IMV 73 (“Rhodococcus rubropertinctus”). Isolated from: water, the Dnieper river, Dnepropetrovsk region, Ukraine. Taxonomy/description: shows positive result with Rhodococcus rhodochrous primers in species-specific PCR; 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis (GenBank accession number MG585109). Properties: uses n-hexadecane as a sole carbon source; degrades dehydroabietic acid (28, 407, 424); resistant to Pb2+ (10.0 mM), Cr6+, Cu2+ (5.0 mM). (Medium: 2 or 8, 28°C).
